Description: The course gives a synthetic but complete understanding of economic growth and development. Specifically, it provides its students with a comprehensive picture of the field of study, while giving them the tools to analyse them autonomously.
It also provides instruments to study and understand the main factors that determine the development of an area or country. The issue of development is addressed with a look at the economies of developing countries as well as a study of the underdeveloped areas of developed countries. The territorial component of economic development is analysed through the study of economic models and specific case studies.
